Neighborhood Meeting

Hello and welcome home to everyone. I still do not have internet access but, I managed to steal some on-line time on the Northshore.

I went to a neighborhood meeting last Wed. and it was pretty good. There will be another one this Wed. at the police station (MLK and OCH)at 10:00 AM. If anyone has time to go, it would be great to represent ccmuses.

Costume Party 10/31

Hey Y'all,

Billy and I are having a costume party for Halloween at 1234 Carondelet. Personally, I love dressing up, but you don't have to. Have not nailed the start time down yet. Hell, I don't even know what kind of costume I can rustle up. Maybe I'll just be silver girl and wear tinfoil. Hey everybody, feel free to wear tinfoil costumes.

Something to add to your supply list prior to returning: mosquito netting! With all the puddles of stagnant water around, there's probably about, oh, say 100 billion of the wee beasties flying around Orleans Parish. With a greatly diminished pool of victims to prey upon.

Power and Light

Rob here (here being Nashville for the time being.) I spoke to Aurora, who is back home and reports that power, phone and water is in service at her house (and presumably for the whole block.) Standard warnings about water quality apply. I've also heard that the Lee Circle Exxon is open.

Good luck to anyone in the first wave of returnees - be safe out there!
